Point of Sale

The register is where the clinic’s money is actually taken, so it is built around the things that go wrong at a counter: an interrupted sale, a customer paying three ways, a return, a mistake made mid-shift.

Drawn from the real screen. Every module opens as its own window on the desk.

WHAT IT DOES

What a busy counter actually needs.

Park a sale, keep the stock
A held cart keeps its items reserved and reports how long it has been waiting.
Split tender in one go
Cash and card and balance on one sale, each becoming its own ledger row inside a single transaction, with change returned.
Refunds that return the unit
A refund is previewed, then taken — recording which physical units came back, not only the money.
Void without losing the number
A voided sale is deactivated rather than deleted, so an invoice number is never reused.
Any barcode, any phone format
Scanning tries the physical unit’s barcode first, then the product’s, and returns every match when a barcode is shared. A client is found however their number was written.
Built for a very long catalogue
Paging is keyset-based, so the ten-thousandth page costs what the first one does.
Thermal receipts, no dialog
Receipts print straight to the counter printer through a local bridge.
Drawers that close cleanly
Open, count by denomination, re-count with the history kept, and reconcile against the ledger.
ONE DETAIL WORTH KNOWING

The old register stayed one click away.

When this register was written it did not replace the previous one — it was installed beside it. Both were live at once, on purpose, so that if anything went wrong mid-shift the staff could fall back to the till they already knew rather than stop taking money. That is not a coding decision. It is what changing the register in a working clinic actually requires.

The desk is waiting.
